A few weeks ago I wrote in the blog that we planned to expand to Toronto, London and Amsterdam. We have now signed agreements for Toronto and Amsterdam, which means that we will be running these next month (December)!
In both data centers we rent 10U, which is more than enough space for us. We will initially place three servers per data center and then expand the infrastructure when needed. In Toronto we have a 10GE uplink via Cogent, and in Amsterdam we have a 10GE uplink to NTT and a 10GE link to AMS-IX.
In connection with the expansion, we have now raised the price for monthly subscriptions from SEK 69 to SEK 89. This price increase only occurs for customers who do not already have automatic renewal enabled on a monthly subscription. So note that this only applies to the monthly subscriptions and that no price increase will occur for the three and 12 month subscriptions. We spend a lot of time and resources on our support and it is therefore not profitable for us to sell monthly subscriptions at the old price as first-time support is a greater cost than SEK 69.
Finally, we can announce that the support position has been filled, which we are really excited about! This will mean faster and more focused customer support so that we can once again return to the high standard that our customers have become accustomed to!
