Version 2.2.1 comes with multiple improvements and bug fixes.

List of changes in v2.2.1

  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where the client would install the Norwegian client when system is set to English
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where DNS settings would reset to default DNS after client restart
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where IP would leak with always-on killswitch under specific circumstances
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where the always-on killswitch would cause the client to fail to communicate with ovpn.com
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where the client would freeze on macOS M1 processors
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where WireGuard would not work on Fedora
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where changing to the weakest encryption (AES-128-GCM) was no longer possible
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where client installation would give an /installmanagerservice error
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where the Statistics page would show incorrect information
  • Bug fix: resolved an issue where the client would fail to change DNS on macOS
  • Improvement: improve and speed up DNS checks on macOS
  • Improvement: the client now clears registry entries and logs from the computer when uninstalled

How can I update the desktop client?

  1. Launch client
  2. You will now see a notification pop up asking you if you wish to update to version 2.2.1
  3. Click Yes
  4. Wait for the installation to finish and enter your password if asked for it
  5. Windows users must accept the Wintun driver installation
  6. As soon as the installation finishes, the new version will launch automatically.

If for some reason the online update fails

If something goes wrong, simply close the desktop client and install it manually.
