Transparency Report: July 2015

David Wibergh, about Status & transparency reports

This is the tenth summary we publish. The summary shows the amount of traffic passing through our servers, uptime and peak traffic. We also report how many customers we have and plans for the near future.

OVPN had a planned maintenace in July. We were also hit by some unplanned operational disruptions, which was mainly due to the fact that we did not get the configuration well enough for the load & balance web & database servers. We have acquired a new server to replace the existing solution in August.

Summary

Our VPN servers in July kept an uptime of 99.5%. However, our customers suffered some disconnections due to the API becoming inaccessible when the web & database servers messed up. There have been no operational disruptions since we corrected this and deployed a new solution.

Traffic increased by 46.8 TB from the previous month in July, which means that the total volume of traffic was 407.6 TB.

In July, OVPN received an additional 350 customers, putting the total number at 3250.

Within a month, we're releasing a beta version of our own client for Windows, Linux & Mac OS X. We've been working on the client and are very pleased with the results.
