This is the monthly transparency report for December 2018. OVPN had zero unplanned service interruption and two planned service interruptions during the month of December.

Summary

Throughout the month of December, our VPN servers had an uptime of over 99.5%. In total, the OVPN servers encrypted and anonymized 3607.5 TB of data, which is 308.2 TB more than August 2018 which hold the previous record.

During the month of December, we received 0 request.

This number will increase as we are including received DMCA requests in future transparency reports, hence the new format.

Since we are a no-log VPN, we have never given out any such information.

Our data center in Malmö has a maximum capacity of 10 Gbit/s. During the month of December, the traffic load amounted to 2390 Mbit/s on average.

The highest traffic spike was 5190 Mbit/s, which represents 51.9% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 3690 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 36.9% of the maximum capacity.

Our data center in Stockholm has a maximum capacity of 25 Gbit/s. During the month of December, the traffic load amounted to 5900 Mbit/s on average. On October 16, we added an additional 5 servers to the Stockholm data center, bringing the total up to 25 servers.

We deployed our servers in Gothenburg in August 2018, making December the fifth month the servers have been running. During the month of November we added an additional 3 servers, which means the total capacity in Gothenburg increased from 3 Gbit/s to 6 Gbit/s. However, the traffic load was only 1080 Mbit/s on average in december.

The largest traffic spike recorded was 2700 Mbit/s, which represents 45.0% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 1790 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 29% of the maximum capacity.
