Planned service interruption for WEB01 on June 30th 2016 09:45-10:30 GMT+2

David Wibergh, about Status & transparency reports

Update: The service interruption was a bit delayed and affected the service longer than we previously anticipated. It was completed at 12:00 GMT+2. More information will be published within a couple of hours.

Update 2: The interruption affected the web server longer than anticipated since some problems arose when attempting to change the network card on the server. We've mounted Mellanox ConnectX-2 Single-Port SFP+ 10GBEMNPA19-XTR cards in some of our VPN servers of model HP ProLiant DL320e Gen8. We wanted to mount the same NIC in the web server but due to a different motherboard layout in HP ProLiant DL60 Gen9, it was a no go.

We therefore needed to refactor back our changes, and thus the web server was unavailable for 44 minutes.

We have a planned service interruption affecting the website (OVPN.com) for about ten minutes. The interruption will occur some time between 09:45 and 10:30 GMT+2. No VPN servers will be affected and no one should be disconnected.

The reason for the interruption is that we're replacing one of our switches, Netgear Prosafe GS724T which has 24 GE ports, to a Quanta LB4M switch that has 48 GE ports. We're intending to expand the infrastructure in Stockholm which forces us to expand the number of available gigabit ports.
