This is the monthly transparency report for July 2019. OVPN had one unplanned service interruption and one planned service interruption during the month of July.

Summary

Throughout the month of July, our VPN servers had an uptime of over 99.5%. In total, the OVPN servers encrypted and anonymized 5184.7 TB of data.

During the month of July, we received 1260 requests.

  • Out of these, 1260 were DMCA related

Since we are a no-log VPN, we have never given out any such information.

VPN servers in Toronto, Canada

Our data center in Toronto has a maximum capacity of 1 Gbit/s. During the month of July, the traffic load amounted to 75 Mbit/s on average.

The highest traffic spike was 300 Mbit/s, which represents 30% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 148 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 15% of the maximum capacity.

In total, 23.9 TB of data was encrypted and anonymized by the VPN servers in Toronto.

The Toronto data center had an uptime of 100% during July.

VPN servers in Zurich, Switzerland

Our data center in Zurich has a maximum capacity of 3 Gbit/s. During the month of July, the traffic load amounted to 73 Mbit/s on average.

The highest traffic spike was 473 Mbit/s, which represents 16% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 177.4 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 6% of the maximum capacity.
