This is the monthly transparency report for December 2017. OVPN had two unplanned service interruptions and two planned service interruptions during the month of December.

Summary

Throughout the month of December, our VPN servers had an uptime of over 99.5%. In total, the OVPN servers encrypted and anonymized 3215.2 TB of data, which is 648.3 TB more than October that hold the previous record.

During the month of December, we did not receive any requests from authorities. To date, we have never given out any customer data to third parties.

Analysis

Our datacenter in Malmö has a maximum capacity of 10 Gbit/s. During the month of December, the traffic load amounted to 2160 Mbit/s on average. During the month of December, we added an additional 3 servers to the Malmö datacenter, bringing the total upp to 7.

The highest traffic spike was 4390 Mbit/s, which represents 43.9% of the maximum capacity. The 95th percentile landed on 3480 Mbit/s, meaning that 95% of the time, the traffic load was below 34.8% of the maximum capacity.

In total, 723.0 TB of data was encrypted and anonymized by the VPN servers in Malmö.

The Malmö datacenter had an uptime of over 99.5% during the month of December.
