Transparency report: September 2016

David Wibergh, about Status & transparency reports

This is the monthly transparency report for September 2016.

OVPN had one planned service interruption in September.

Summary

Our VPN servers had an uptime of almost 99.5% during September. OVPN encrypted and anonymized 1528 TB, which is an increase from August and a new traffic record. As a matter of fact it represents more than a 50% increase from the previous record.

During September we received information requests from authorities in two different countries. The information asked in both cases was which user had a specific IP address at a specific time. Our reply in both cases was that we are unable to provide such information since we do not have any logs whatsoever. To date we have never given out any customer data to a third party.

The traffic load in Stockholm increased substantially during September and we reached 72.7% of the maximum capacity. Thus we have now started work with increasing the maximum capacity in Stockholm from 10 Gbit/s to 20 Gbit/s.

Below are the traffic and uptime statistics from our current datacenters. The empty gap in the graphs were caused by the monitoring system being down for a while. No actual server downtime took place.
