This is our 3rd monthly summary report, summarizing the traffic load, server uptime and spikes in traffic.

We had one planned maintenance session during December to update the servers, to restructure the server cabinet and restart our switch. The maintenance therefore affected our uptime in Stockholm datacenter.

Analysis

VPN01 encrypted and anonymized 31,317 GB (61.44 TB) of traffic in total.
This is an increase of 22 377 GB compared to previous month.

The highest traffic spike landed on 451 Mbit/s, which is 44.0% of the maximum capacity.

The 95th percentile landed on 232 Mbit/s, which means that the traffic load was below 22.7% of the maximum capacity for 95% of the time.

VPN01 had an uptime of 99.96% during December. As the servers in Stockholm were the only ones affected by the downtime, the total uptime was 99.96%.

Analysis

VPN02 encrypted and anonymized 45,546 GB (44.5 TB)* of traffic in total.

The traffic spike was 591 Mbit/s at its highest, which is 41.2% of the maximum capacity.

The 95th percentile landed on 295 Mbit/s, which means that the server load was below 20.6% of the maximum capacity for 95% of the time.

VPN02 had an uptime of 99.99% during December. If we include the planned maintenance, the uptime was 99.62% in total.

Analysis

VPN03 encrypted and anonymized 41,473 GB (72 TB) of traffic in total.

The largest traffic spike recorded was 651 Mbit/s, which represents 45.5% of the maximum capacity, since we upgraded the network card on the server.

The 95th percentile landed on 278 Mbit/s, which means that the server load was below 19.4% of the maximum capacity for 95% of the time.

VPN03 had an uptime of 99.9% during December. Accounting for planned maintenance downtime the total uptime was 99.85%

Analysis

VPN04 encrypted and anonymized 52,913 GB (65.2 TB) of traffic in total.

The largest traffic spike recorded was ** 705 Mbit/s**, which is **49.2% of the maximum capacity.

The 95th percentile landed on 362 Mbit/s, which means that the server load was below 25.4% of the maximum capacity for 95% of the time.

VPN04 had an uptime of 99.9% during December. Accounting for the planned maintenance the total uptime was 99.69%.

On December 19th, we started offering our customer American IP addresses from a new server.

We won’t show any data for the server this month as it was deployed on the 19th. The statistics for this server will be presented in the future, starting next month.

WEB01 - Falun

WEB01 had an uptime of 99.93% in December, which means the server was down for 30 minutes in total.

This won’t be visible on the server status graph as it’s such a short time.

We had a few minor downtimes during December resulting in a downtime of 99.99% which sums up to a total downtime of 5 minutes.

SQL02 had an uptime of 99.96% in December resulting in a total downtime of 18 minutes.
Due to the short time period of downtime it won’t be visible on the graph.

Summary

We succeeded in keeping an uptime of at least 99.5% during December despite our maintenance session. VPN04 had the highest traffic load during December and VPN01 had the lowest.
It’s clear that we aren’t even close to our maximum capacity, which leaves room for more future customers. Since the previous month the encrypted traffic total has increased considerably as we anonymized a staggering **51 855 GB (50,6 TB) ** more than in November.
